Unicorn DI-WHY

Image
Ah, yes. Unicorn DIY. The game that has been popping up all over the place as interactive ads. I thought it looked kinda corny, but I ended up giving it a try. Big mistake. While the unicorns you can make can be kinda cute (but several are not), that's about all this game has to offer, and even that is minimal. Basically, all gameplay is pick a skin color, pick a hair color, pick a prop (which you can't skip, which I hated), and pick a horn. Once you've made your unicorn, you can drag them to the forest map, where they begin to eat the dead plants and new, alive ones replace them. I thought that was interesting, but I had my hopes crushed. The goal is to clear the dead forest for the new one. However, in order to do this, you have to watch the unicorns do it. You can't set them loose to eat and just go make a new unicorn. You have to sit there and watch them eat to make any progress. Ridiculous! My biggest issue, personall

OMG Fashion Club

OMG Fashion Club was much better than I originally thought it would be! I collect dolls, specifically old ones that look like they crawled out of a real life horror movie, but I do enjoy getting a cute one every now and again. That being said, I thought it would be fun to try a doll themed dress up game.  There's not a ton to this game, but it was entertaining. You can dress up your character, complete challenges to progress your level, choose from 3 mini games to play and earn money, and participate in community fashion challenges. For the challenges to progress your character level, there's 15 as of right now. You can earn up to 3 stars for each level, but if you get less than that, you can easily go back and try again. For the mini games, my favorite was definitely the Tap & Match.  It also gives you the options to use real money to purchase in game dolls to make. I personally did purchase one, just to see how it worked. I

MORTO - Chapter 1(TW)

Image
Today I present to you a game review of MORTO Let me start by saying this game is... Dark. Available on switch, MORTO is a short, dark game following a unnamed male protagonist. The switch store describes it as "a heavy and enigmatic experience that focuses on a psychological horror story". That's extremely spot on. This game doesn't really tell you controls, rather throws you right in. That's probably the only thing I'd change about it. The story is easy to follow, but isn't meant for those who struggle with mental illness, specifically depression and $uicidal thoughts.  This game depicts scenes of death, child endangerment, murder, and $uicide. So please avoid this game if any of that.  Overall, I did enjoy this game and definitely recommend you check it out if you can handle this kind of content. It does say this is EP. 1, but I haven't found any information on when or if a second part will be released.

Two things in life are guaranteed... Death & Taxes

Game Review: Death & Taxes . Platforms: PC and Switch . Devs: Placeholder Gameworks & Pineapple Works . IRD: February 20, 2020 . I wanted to do a quick review for you guys since I'm behind on the initial post I wanted to do.  Death & Taxes is a single player, point and click style game, where you play as the Grim Reaper, going through files of people and deciding who lives and who dies, based on the instructions each day. However, things aren't always what they seem, and to go much further into detail would ruin the game atmosphere.  You can also do things such as buy items for your desk and customize your character with the money you earn each day (my character is below). I know it was a short review, but overall, I highly recommend this game, especially if you're just looking for a time killer, or enjoy medaling in the affairs of the living and the damned.
