Little Kitty, Big City

Hey guys! I'm sorry for such a long hiatus, but what better way to welcome the new year than with a new review! Today I'll be looking at Little Kitty, Big City, a game that I painfully underestimated. Sorry little kitty, I shouldn't have doubted you.

I saw a bunch of raving reviews for this game, but in screenshots and gameplay I saw, it didn't seem that great. However, I eventually gave in and tried it. I'm so glad I did! You play as this sweet kitty and go on a massive adventure! Your story starts at home, like most stories do, sunbathing in your favorite spot. You doze off and, unfortunately, roll off the rooftop. Thankfully, you're a cat! You land on your feet, but you're all the way down on the street. Looking up at the massive building, you know you have to get back up.

You meet a crow, who is like a guide for you, as well as a variety of other character like a family of ducks, multiple other cats, and even a raccoon scientist! You have to collect fish to build your climbing strength, but there are also several other side quests, such as recycling, collecting coins, and also helping the other characters with their quests. My personal favorite thing to do, besides exploring the open world city, was collecting all the hats!

Yes, I said hats! There are so many to collect! Fruit themed, animal themed, food themed, and so much more! Personally, I my favorite hats are the sunflower, axolotl, collar (not a hat, but it's considered one in the game), and the Little Tato hat! (to get that one you have to complete a quest, and I highly recommend doing that quest ASAP, just because it's so cute!)

At the end of the game, once you finally return home, you get to name the cat. Seems a little backwards, since naming is normally something that occurs at the beginning of the game. Overall, I highly suggest this game to anyone who loves cats, cute things, and open world exploration. This game was just a reminder that you can't always judge a game by the snippets you see, you gotta play it to get your true thoughts...

Happy gaming!
